It seems to be something of a tradition for Nimh pages to include some of your own Nimh related artwork, but unfortunately, I don't have much.
After seeing Nimh, the one thing I wanted more than anything was to be an animator for Bluth, but at some point, I had to deal with the fact that I just didn't have the talent.

Anyway, looking through these old notes (I saved everything from highschool, am I weird?) I found out that I apparently had more talent than I thought I did...There were some caricatures of some of my teachers which I didn't even remember doing, which were actually pretty good! But, I just lost interest after a while, and never developed the talent any further, mostly because I found the process of drawing to be unbelievably painful.
Today, the only drawing I do is in pursuit of one of my stranger hobbies: When I hear that a celebrity is going to be in the area, I will do a pencil sketch, working from a photograph, and then try to get them to autograph it. So far, I'm five for seven (I couldn't even get close to Arnold Schwarzenegger). Will Smith stiffed me; I sent it to him by mail, but never got it back (humph). Just as well, I didn't like the finished copy anyway.
So, I thought I'd include these here, for the sake of tradition and for ego. Enjoy.
That's right, I finally decided to try my hand at it. My pic is called "The Kiss, Part II: Never Without My Permission" and you'll find it a lot funnier if you've seen "The Fifth Element."
Anyway, if you haven't already seen the infamous "Kiss" picture, you should first go to see it at Daphne Lage's page. Then come back here and see the soon to be legendary:
This has nothing to do with Nimh, but since I've already expressed elsewhere in the Archive how much I couldn't stand Jurassic Park, (why on earth would he drop the whole payoff of the Triceratops scene just to put in a dumb gag about dinosaur dung? Wait, Steve, get a hold of yourself) I just have to include it. It's a cartoon I drew for The Other Press, Douglas College's student newspaper (they never ran it, the jerks).
I recently did a picture of Robin for Kristin Blomsted's page. The finished version of that pic, entitled "Hit Any Key to Continue," can be seen in her Jonathan and Robin Fan Art section, but I thought that it would be worth putting up two of the rough drafts (actually, two stages of the same rough draft). So, here they are:
| Draft 1 The Graceful Muscine Form |
Draft 2 Adding the Ensemble |
